Gute Blogs verbinden Menschen

Knapp zwei Dutzend junge Frauen und Männer zwischen zwanzig und dreißig haben sich für eine Woche zu einem von DVV International organisierten Bloggerworkshop in Tiflis zusammengefunden. Unter der Überschrift „Young Bloggers from South Caucasus“ werden sie in die Künste des Bloggens eingeführt, um dann – mit dem nötigen fachlichen und technischen Know-how ausgestattet – einen eigenständigen Beitrag zu mehr Meinungsvielfalt in ihren Herkunftsländern leisten zu können.

I am looking out a window. I see my childhood. I see a lake.

It is summer in Finland, and I am sitting in the summer cottage my grandmother bought in the 1950ies. I am editing the next edition of Adult Education and Development. I read texts from all over the world. They tell stories about what it means to be a citizen on this planet. They are touching, personal, angry. They are calls for action, testimonials, everyday insights. They are engaged, constructive, analytical.

Laotian Smile

Hi, I am Kata from Hungary. I came to Laos to work for DVV International in May for a three-month internship. It might not seem like a long time since I arrived, but I already feel I have covered a lot of ground and had the chance to gain a deeper insight into the significance and practicalities of adult education from different perspectives. Since DVV International works on all levels – macro, meso and micro – it provides a really unique opportunity to engage in both top-down and bottom-up activities, and develop a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities characterising adult education.

(Holt die) Kommunen an Bord!

Wenn sich in diesen Tagen im weit von der georgischen Hauptstadt entfernt gelegenen Ort Chokhatauri unter dem Eindruck der Überschwemmungen in Tiflis eine zentrale Anlaufstelle gebildet hat, an der Hilfsgüter für die Opfer der Flut gesammelt werden, dann hat das auch mit Hannover, dem georgischen Botschafter in Deutschland und mit der Vision des Lebenslangen Lernens zu tun.

The “Africa Adult Education System Building Workshop” took place from 30 September to 5 October 2019 in Ethiopia, with participants from 4 regional offices and 8 national offices of DVV International in Africa. Representatives from institutional partners of DVV International in those countries were also present.

The objective of the workshop was to initiate and to train the DVV International officers from the participating countries in the techniques and tools of the approach that is currently being implemented in Ethiopia, which is showing positive results and has been commended by their partners.
