Curriculum PreViEx (Prevention of Violent Extremism, also: PVE) is a modular, competency-based curriculum to educate trainers who are working in extremism prevention. It includes 1) a description of methods; 2) tools for the organisation of topical trainings; 3) specific recommendations for conducting trainings and 4) the assessment of results; and 5) a large number of practical exercises. It was developed by DVV International Uzbekistan together with experts from the region.
The curriculum is based on the andragogical principles and approaches of Curriculum globALE, Curriculum interculturALE, as well as other programmes and tools developed by DVV International.
Thе curriculum is designed for beginners and practicing trainers, leaders of both state and non-state organisations, psychologists and psychotherapists, the clergy and other relevant experts and institutions working in the field of prevention of violent extremism.
