Piloting Curriculum globALE’s digitalisation module in the Asian region

Globally, there is a growing demand for the use of digital media in educational activities. This is also having an impact on adult learning and education (ALE) services worldwide because it places new demands on course instructors. In order to offer a framework for the professional development of adult educators in the field of digital learning, DVV International developed an additional module for Curriculum globALE “The digitalisation module”.
An online training to pilot this module was completed on 31 January 2022. Trainers, staff, and partners from three DVV International project regions in Asia (Middle East, South East Asia and Central Asia) participated in the training.
The author of the module, from the Swiss Adult Education Association, was invited to develop a course programme specially adapted to this group of participants, and to deliver the training. The training was divided into six online phases of four hours each. During the training the participants learned about different forms of blended and online learning and gained practical skills in target group analysis, developing an online training concept and using digital tools in learning activities.
The next step, in the near future, is to pilot the digitalisation module with adult educators in Cambodia, Palestine and Tajikistan.
More information about the module can be found in the download center or as PDF.
