In its annual report, DVV International looks back on the year 2024 and highlights the role of adult learning and education in challenging times.
"In a world that is rapidly changing and increasingly marked by conflict, adult learning and education (ALE) has a crucial role to play in helping people to understand global contexts, acquire new skills, and help to shape society," says Martin Rabanus, President of the German Adult Education Association (Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V.), in his introduction to the annual report.
DVV International is committed to promoting access to lifelong learning and to strengthening sustainable structures for adult learning and education worldwide. The annual report offers insights into our work in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe – and shows why adult learning and education is a key driver of participation, orientation, and social cohesion, particularly in times of global crises and societal transformation.
