In its annual reports, which appear in German and English, DVV International presents information about the activities of the Institute in Germany and abroad, reports on current developments in adult education worldwide and provides facts and figures about the Institute and its work.
Through its Expert and Position Papers, DVV International introduces current topics related to adult education and development cooperation into the debate among experts and the public.
DVV International is publishing in-depth investigations and studies at the interface of adult education and development as part of the “Analysis” series.
The DVV International publication series International Perspectives in Adult Education (IPE) appears at irregular intervals and contains country reports, comparative studies, monographs and materials, that are gathered together to discuss adult education as experienced from the perspective of a number of countries and regions as well as from an international perspective. Each volume appears, depending on the topic and target audience, in different languages. They are available free as a download or as a printed version.
From 1973 until 2019, DVV International has been publishing the Adult Education and Development journal. Over the decades, the trilingual journal (English, French, Spanish) had developed into the worldwide leading professional journal on adult education and development with subscribers in over 160 countries. The last issue entitled "The good adult educator" was published at the end of 2019. All issues since issue 54 are available online free of charge.
DVV International publishes further publications in cooperation with adult education and development cooperation organisations.
In its first impact report, covering the years 2009 – 2015, DVV International examines the effect of its work through various concrete projects and regional measures.
DVV International celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019. The anniversary publication provides an overview of the work of DVV International over the past five decades.
DVV International operates worldwide with more than 200 partners in over 30 countries.
