To kick off the project “Faces of German-Turkish Migration” funded by the Federal Foreign Office, DVV International and its Turkish partner beraberce are organising a German-Turkish online cultural festival on 5 November 2021 at 6pm CET. The evening will unfold to be like a true German-Turkish migration story. It will make virtual stops in various epochs, with a photographic retrospective, a musical intermezzo and a short theatre production. The event will be held in German and Turkish. About the project:
The project “Faces of German-Turkish Migration” aims to strengthen German-Turkish relations through cultural and political adult education. The central element of the project will be the establishment of an online museum of German-Turkish migration. In parallel, activities around the topic of migration and German-Turkish culture will take place in Turkey and Germany in cooperation with four selected German adult education centres (Aachen, Berlin Friedrichshain/Kreuzberg, Duisburg, Stuttgart). The project will conclude at the end of 2022 with a real-world exhibition in Germany and Turkey, in which elements from the online museum will be presented to the public.
