VENRO Report: ‘IMAGINE: How civil society organisations contribute to a peaceful world’

The umbrella organisation of development and humanitarian non-governmental organisations in Germany (VENRO) recently presented the NGO report ‘IMAGINE: How civil society organisations contribute to a peaceful world’. DVV International is represented with a contribution on its Curriculum PreViEx.

In twelve compelling contributions, the NRO report ‘IMAGINE’ highlights the vital role of civil society organisations in building a peaceful world. The examples from Kenya, Haiti, Nigeria, Colombia, and many other countries remind us that peace is not merely the absence of violence but the result of actively promoting justice, inclusion, and human security. The report invites readers to integrate peacebuilding approaches into their own work.

One of the examples presented is DVV International’s Curriculum PreViEx (Prevention of Violent Extremism). Curriculum PreViEx is a modular curriculum for trainers who are working in the prevention of extremism. It was developed by the DVV International country office in Uzbekistan together with experts from Central Asia.

The report has been published in German and English.
