The following is the presentation by Joe Samuels, Deputy Executive Officer of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in South Africa for the workshop “Adult Learning and Migration”, which was organised by the ICAE and NIACE. The workshop focuses on the massive increase in the number of adults migrating across national boundaries, explores government and civil society strategies for addressing challenges such as: securing the right to education; recognising prior learning; and establishing links with families and communities.
