DVV International has compiled central policy documents and information on global Adult Learning and Education (ALE) processes on a subpage of its website. As a professional organisation, DVV International actively participates with its expertise in the creation of the documents and the design of these processes.

Interested parties will find important information on the following processes:

  1. CONFINTEA
In June 2022, the seventh UNESCO International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VII) will take place in Morocco. Representatives of governments, civil society and international organisations will develop a new Framework for Action on Adult Education to replace the Belém Framework for Action (BFA) adopted at CONFINTEA VI in 2009. For DVV International and other adult education organisations, the International Conference is a key event to strengthen and raise the profile of adult education worldwide.

  2. Futures of Education
With the initiative “Futures of Education”, UNESCO wants to rethink education and actively shape the future. As a result of a global debate stimulated by the initiative, a new global world education report was presented in November 2021.

  3. Europäische Agenda für Erwachsenenbildung
The new European Agenda for Adult Learning (EAAL) was adopted by the Council of Ministers at the end of November 2021. It contains many positive indicators and is probably one of the most holistic policy documents in recent years.
