On 8 October 2021, DVV International Mexico signed an agreement that confirms the cooperation with CREFAL (Centro de Cooperación Regional para la Educación de Adultos en América Latina y el Caribe). CREFAL was founded in 1950 by the Mexican government as a regional centre within the framework of an agreement between the Organisation of American States and UNESCO. CREFAL has been working for the improvement of adult education in Latin America and the Caribbean for 70 years. The signatories, DVV International and CREFAL, have decided to act together in Mexico from 2022. The framework for this cooperation is the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The aim of the cooperation is to further promote the education of young people and adults in order to enable the participation of the population in sustainable social, cultural and economic development.
