Within the framework of the DVV International Reconciliation Project “Acting Together”, a group of students from Turkey and Armenia traveled to Armenia in the summer of 2015 in order to trace the spoors of the genocide perpetrated against the Armenians in 1915. In cooperation with the independent social interest magazine FROH!, a road magazine, documenting the journey, was created and has now been published.
On their journey, the group followed the escape routes of the Armenians and traced the spoors of the survivors of the genocide. Through the project – sponsored by the Federal Foreign Office – DVV International sought to build bridges between the people in both countries.
During the trip, in cooperation with the independent social interest magazine FROH!, a road magazine emerged, which artistically documented the project. The participants met people who took them into their homes and revealed family chronicles to them, even finding traces of the proverbial “Radio Yerevan” jokes as well as recording barbershop stories. All the impressions, stories and experiences were collected in the Road Magazine. The view into the past was repeatedly overtaken by the present: Due to the political situation in Turkey, the planned second part of the trip from Yerevan to Istanbul had to be canceled.

With the almost 200-page-strong magazine “Acting Together”, a travel document has emerged which makes the voice of a younger generation audible, which wants to transcend boundaries and is forward-looking.
